About the 8 Days Kathmandu, Pokhara & Lumbini Tour
Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini and Pokhara starts by doing sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. After that, we will visit Chitwan, Lumbini to Pokhara and return to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu is the largest city and capital of Nepal. Bestowed with amazing natural beauty, Kathmandu is the hub of global tourists. The place has different cultural and historical sites which bear testimony to the rich culture of the place.
Lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi district of Nepal. It is largely regarded as the place where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama. Lumbini has a number of temples, including the Mayadevi temple, and others under construction. Also located here is the Puskarini or Holy Pond where the Buddha's mother took the ritual dip prior to his birth and where he, too, had his first bath, as well as the remains of Kapilvastu palace. At other sites near Lumbini, earlier Buddhas were, according to tradition, born, achieved ultimate awakening and finally relinquished earthly form.
Pokhara is the richness of the valley in pure natural beauty. It is indeed one of the main attractions to visitors from all over the world. Pokhara valley is equally superb giving as they do elevated close-ups to the snowy peaks. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence summits like Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6977m) and the five peaks of Annapurna range rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. There are different tourist attraction places in Pokhara to visit so that Pokhara is a place of Nature Beauty. Paragliding is the most pioneer activity in Pokhara.

Day 1 - Welcome to Kathmandu
Once you land at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu our representative will receive you and transfer to the respective hotel. On this day, you can either rest or stroll around the nearby places like Thamel or Durbarmarg. In the evening, our tour guide will give a short brief about the upcoming tour. Finally, in the evening you can stroll around the nearby hotel area and if you have forgotten to bring any outdoor gear you can buy over there
Day 2 - Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Today after our breakfast we will start our guided tour to several historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple’ Swayambhunath and Buddhists shrine of Boudhanath which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. Along with it we will visit the medieval palaces of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur (if we have spare time). These palaces are rich in stone and wood sculptures glorifying the rich artistic history of ancient Nepal.
Day 3 - Drive to Bandipur from Kathmandu
Drive to Bandipur for rural heritage exploration. Bandipur is 148 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. About 4.5 hours of drive through scenic highway takes us to Bandipur, a beautiful hilltop village that offers the spectacular view of the Himalayan range and gorgeous valley.
Day 4 - Drive to Pokhara from Bandipur
The next stop on your tour is Pokhara, a significant tourism destination of Nepal. It is an enhancing city nestled in a tranquil valley, which is also gateway to the world famous Annapurna Circuit Trail. By driving it takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach Pokhara. Once we reach you will be checked into the hotel. Rest of the day we will visit Phewa Lake and go boating around the lake.
Day 5 - Sightseeing in Pokhara
Today is the most important day of our tour because we will be going to Sarangkot, a major viewpoint to see the Himalayas. Early morning we will drive to Sarangkot to view the magnificent view of the Annapurna range, Machhepuchhre, Himchuli, Manaslu and many others. After the sunrise view, we will drive back to the hotel and enjoy our breakfast.
Later, in the afternoon, we will have a sightseeing tour of Pokhara that takes you to Gupteshwor cave, Davis falls, World Peace Stupa, and Mountaineering museum. We will also have some free time in the afternoon to wander around.
Day 6 - Drive to Lumbini
Drive to Lumbini from Pokhara. Lumbini is 169 kilometers south of Pokhara and takes about 6 hours to reach there. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It holds great importance for Buddhist around the world. Today you will be visiting the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, and the International Peace Park.
Day 7 - Sightseeing in Lumbini
We will start our sightseeing from the New Tourist village and visit the World peace pagoda and museum. After we will visit the Mayadevi temple protecting the ‘Marker Stone’, Statue of nativity scene and ruins of old temple walls. Lumbini has many temples including Maya Devi Temple. There is a pond called Pukarani, where queen Maya Devi took a ritual dip prior to giving birth to Lord Buddha, where he had his first bath. We will visit Mahayani, Teravadi Monstery and Mayadevi Temple. There is another attraction that is Ashoka Pillar, which was built by an Indian emperor after he visited Lumbini.
Day 8 - Drive to Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu. We will drive 260 kilometers back to Kathmandu today. It will take us around 8 hours to reach Kathmandu. Although it's a long drive, it will allow us to enjoy more of the diversity of Nepalese landscape, lifestyle and nature. At Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the hotel where you can freshen up and take some rest. After that, you can take a stroll around Thamel and buy some souvenirs.
